The weather on Dartmoor has a particular bite to it – the raging storms and thunder and lightning.

It is believed that these storms are so violent due to an immortal dragon and a German ghost.

They live near Belstone, and they are the cause of all of the weather on Dartmoor.

The German believes that he has to slay the dragon but does not realise that the dragon is immortal and therefore cannot be killed.

The German ghost and dragon fight with each other whenever they come across each other.

When they fight Dartmoor suffers its worst thunder and lightning storms and the smoke from the dragon’s nostrils fills the moor with mist.

Will they ever stop fighting?
