This animation was commissioned from animation artist Sarah Vincent especially for the Dartmoor Resource project. John Ford, Dartmoor’s Jacobean and Caroline playwright, grew up at Ilsington as the son of a farmer with tin mining interests who married the  niece of a famous judge.
